YAMOUSSOUKRO: 9th STAGE OF THE NATIONAL MEETINGS OF WOMEN OF COTE D’IVOIRE

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro hosted the ceremony of the NATIONAL MEETING OF WOMEN OF CÔTE D'IVOIRE on the theme: “Federating and promoting female energies for the development of Cote d'Ivoire”, at the Foundation Felix HOUPHOUËT-BOIGNY for the Search for Peace.
Started by the national anthem and the libation of the premises, by the Land Chief of N’ZUESSY Nanan KOUADIO Dégaï, the ceremony began at 10 a.m.
The event, targeting the women of Yamoussoukro, brought together several personalities. At the official table, there was the Minister, Governor of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro, Doctor Augustin THIAM, the Minister of Women, Family and Children, Nassénéba TOURE Diane, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA, Mrs DIARRA Salimatou epse NENE BI, Secretary General of the Prefecture of Attiegouakro, representing the Regional Prefect, Mrs KOUASSI Akissi Sylvaine, 3rd Deputy Mayor, representing the Mayor of the commune of Yamoussoukro.

This ceremony also saw the presence of Madame AKAFFOU Adèle Épse TITIPEU, Prefect of Police of Yamoussoukro, as well as religious guides.
It was in a room full of women leaders that the conference began on the theme stated above. 
The welcome words were given by Mrs. KOUASSI Akissi Sylvaine, 3rd Deputy Mayor of Yamoussoukro. 
Continuing, Mrs. Fanta YOBOUE, representative of the women of Yamoussoukro, did not fail to show her deep gratitude to the Minister of Women, Family and Children. She also presented the challenges faced by women in Yamoussoukro, while proposing solutions. Among the recommendations, she issued the construction of a new market, and the organization of the next international women's rights day in Yamoussoukro...
“This meeting was not only a moment of sharing, but also a precious opportunity to celebrate the strength, resilience and immeasurable potential of the women of our beautiful nation, Côte d’Ivoire,” declared Mrs. Nassénéba TOURE, during her speech. , demonstrating the courage of women and her dedication to their cause. She also thanked the latter for the role they play in the country's food security and also in the administrations.

In turn, the Minister, Governor, Doctor Augustin THIAM thanked and encouraged women for their remarkable contributions to the development of the country. “Your courage and determination are a source of inspiration for me,” he said, offering them local assistance in the District’s three-year social program. He closed his remarks by thanking the Minister of Women, Family and Children, in her mission for the cause of women.
The series of speeches ended with words of thanks from Minister Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA, to all the women of Côte d'Ivoire, while emphasizing his commitment to the continued integration of women in development.
As the ceremony drew to a close, women from the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro offered food products and Baoulé loincloths to Minister Nassénéba TOURE. 
In return, the Minister of Women, Families and Children, offered the sum of three (3) million to all socio-professional groups represented, and to women. 
The ceremony ended in a festive atmosphere at 1 p.m.
