THIAM OFFERS FOOD TO MUSLIMS IN
YAMOUSSOUKRO DURING RAMADAN PERIOD

On Friday March 8, 2024, the Muslim community received a donation from the Minister, Governor, Doctor Augustin Thiam, as a prelude to their Ramadan fast. This donation, spread across four sites, consisted of 500 25kg bags of rice, 238 25kg bags of sugar, 50 packets of milk cans and 20 packets of tea.

At the Great Mosque of Peace, the representative of the Minister, Governor, Mrs. Mariam BAMBA, 1st Vice-Governor of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro indicated that for several years, it has been customary for Doctor Augustin THIAM to make donations to the community Muslim as the month of Ramadan approaches.

She then asked the Muslims, led by the central Imam of the Great Mosque, to say many prayers, many blessings for the President of the Republic, Mr. Alassane OUATTARA and for his entire government because without peace, there will be no peace. there is no development. The 1st Vice-Governor finally recalled that the month of Ramadan is a month of sharing, a month of solidarity and that the Muslim religion is a religion of tolerance.

For his part, Imam El Hadj Seydou Sylla expressed his thanks to the Minister, Governor, Doctor Augustin THIAM who has supported the Muslim community for more than 25 years. He also underlined the importance of living in peace and cohesion which are the bases of all development. The Imam urged the entire population of Yamoussoukro to cultivate peace in order to be models for the rest of Africa.
 
After this stage, the delegation then went to Dougoutigui, the head of the Muslim community, then to the Saguidiba Mosque before stopping at Grins Bédié.
