THE AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT OF YAMOUSSOUKRO OFFERS SEVERAL FOOD TO THE CHRISTIAN CATHOLIC COMMUNITY OF THE DIOCESE OF YAMOUSSOUKRO
During this period of Lent, the Minister, Doctor Augustin THIAM, Governor of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro expressed his solidarity with the Catholic Christian community of the Diocese of Yamoussoukro.
Indeed, on Monday March 4, 2024, a delegation from the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro, led by the Minister, Governor Doctor Augustin THIAM, went to the Saint Augustin Cathedral of Yamoussoukro, arms loaded with 350 bags of rice of 25 kg, 150 bags of brown sugar, 60 boxes of edible paste, 60 boxes of cans of sardines, 60 boxes of cans of peas, 50 boxes of oil, 40 boxes of cans of tomatoes and 40 boxes of cans of milk.
The delegation was received by Father Bendé André, representative of Monsignor Joseph Aka, Bishop of the Diocese of Yamoussoukro and Father Alphonse N'guessan, Pastor of the said Cathedral. Speaking on behalf of the Bishop and all Catholic Christians of the Diocese of Yamoussoukro, Abbot Bendé André expressed his gratitude to all the authorities of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro and in particular to the Minister, Governor Augustin THIAM.
After these few words of thanks, the visit ended with a prayer.
