The Yamoussoukro Autonomous District Donates 20,800,000 FCFA in Fuel to Several Services

To facilitate emergency evacuations, improve mobility, and enhance the efficiency of services for the population, the Yamoussoukro Autonomous District, under the leadership of Governor Augustin Thiam, distributed fuel vouchers.
This fuel donation, totaling 20,800,000 FCFA, was made on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation, to benefit several services, including the police headquarters, the Military Fire Brigade (GSPM), police stations, the health district, the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (SAMU), and health centers.

The 5th Vice-Governor, Augustin Félix Kouassi, the Minister's Chief of Staff, Kouadio Raphaël, the Director General of Administration, Anicet Désiré Kouassi, and the heads of the beneficiary services participated in the ceremony.
At the opening of the ceremony, the master of ceremonies, Mr. Lambertini, presented the program of events. This was followed by the official distribution of fuel vouchers to the various beneficiaries.
On behalf of the recipients, Chief Commissioner Diarrassouba Moussa expressed his gratitude and reassured the public of the National Police's continued commitment to ensuring their safety.
For his part, Dr. Tuo Mamadou Melaihe, representing the healthcare staff, welcomed this initiative, which will help alleviate the difficulties associated with fuel shortages for medical evacuations, particularly in emergency situations. Speaking at the event, Minister-Governor Augustin Thiam reiterated that security, health, and education are top priorities. He emphasized that this initiative addresses a genuine need within the services. He also announced the upcoming distribution of hygiene products to health centers, as well as the ongoing construction of a police station in Attiégouakro and another project in the city.
