OFFICIAL INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF THE REGIONAL ANTENNA OF THE INHP IN YAMOUSSOUKRO AND DELIVERY OF VEHICLES TO AROUND TWENTY ANTENNA HEADS On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, the Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, Pierre Dimba, inaugurated the regional branch of the National Institute of Public Hygiene (INHP) in Yamoussoukro and the delivery of vehicles to around twenty antenna heads. This ceremony took place in the presence of several customary and administrative personalities including the 1st Vice-Governor of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro, Mrs. Mariam Bamba, representing the Minister, Governor, Doctor Augustin THIAM. The ceremony included speeches, the cutting of the ribbon and the official handover of 65 pick-ups and 15 4×4 vehicles. As part of the various interventions, the Coordinator of the Health Projects Coordination Unit of the World Bank, Clovis Konan Kouassi presented the nature of the achievements valued at approximately 178 million CFA francs. Speaking, Ms. Opopé, Head of the Health Portfolio of the World Bank, highlighted the need to enable Côte d'Ivoire to better prepare to face possible epidemics and other health crises. To do this, with the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, it was agreed to use part of the resources from the response to COVID 19 to strengthen the capacities of the structures in charge of management of public health emergencies. Minister Pierre Dimba, for his part, welcomed the support of the World Bank. This support has made it possible not only to obtain significant progress in the prevention and vaccination against COVID 19 but also to contribute to the strengthening of the health system and the improvement of the working conditions of agents. The ceremony ended with a cocktail offered by the Minister of Health.
