2nd EDITION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S RIGHTS DAY ORGANIZED BY THE AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT OF YAMOUSSOUKRO THIS TUESDAY MARCH 05, 2024

As a prelude to International Women's Rights Day on March 8, 2024, the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro offered a total of 900 sets of loincloths to 18 women's associations, during a ceremony held this Tuesday, March 5 in the meeting room, on the 1st floor of the Félix Houphouët Boigny Foundation in Yamoussoukro.

Initiated in 2023, this activity is in its second edition. The 1st Vice-Governor, Mrs. BAMBA Mariam, representing the Minister, Governor Doctor Augustin THIAM, during her address, indicated that the financial autonomy of women and respect for their rights are subjects that are among the priorities of the Minister, Governor.

He stands by their side to support them in this direction. The 1st Vice-Governor then asks women to continue to fight and work to escape poverty.

Following her, the representative of the recipients, through words of thanks addressed to the members of the Council and the Cabinet of the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro, reflected the gratitude felt by all the women beneficiaries.
